At the Atlantic Red Crab Co., we strongly believe in the preservation of our oceans' resources.

 

Our company has long been an industry leader in promoting sustainable harvesting practices. For over a decade, our captains and crews have worked alongside scientists to assess and monitor the health of the red crab stock.

 

In addition, the entire fleet has formed a cooperative that has self-imposed even more restrictive harvesting guidelines than those directed by the New England Fisheries Management Council.

 

In 2006, the red crab industry achieved recognition from the Marine Stewardship Council for its sustainability efforts—the first crab fishery to do so in North America.

 

As the health of our oceans becomes increasingly at risk, we pledge to continue our mission to change the future of commercial fishing.
